Fred William Hemric

Fred William Hemric, age 77, of 2248 Loflin Farlow Lane in Sophia died Sunday, August 24, 2008 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. Mr. Hemric was born July 15, 1931 in Jonesville, NC the son of Glenn and Clyde Victoria Hayes Hemric. Fred was an army veteran of the Korean War, retired principal of the the Randolph County School System, a Quaker minister serving Liberty, Randleman and Science Hill Friends Meetings and a member of Marlboro Friends Meeting. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Eller Hemric, daughters: Leatha Fields-Carey of Benson, NC and Melissa Fields of Memphis, TN; sister: Louise Parks of Lexington, NC; brother: Alan Hemric of Quarryville, PA; 1 grandson. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at 6:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. In lieu of flowers the family asks that Memorials be made to, Tabernacle Elementary School Media Center, 4901 Tabernacle School Rd., Asheboro, NC 27205.
