Fred Farlow

Troy Fred Farlow, age 74, of 943 Maurine Dr., Asheboro died Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.Funeral services will be held Friday, July 31, 2009 at 2:00 pm at First Wesleyan Church in Randleman with Rev. Don Hurlburt and Rev. Mark Wilburn officiating. Entombment will be in Randolph Memorial Park with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.Mr. Farlow was a native of Randolph County, a Navy veteran and an avid golfer. He was retired from Roadway Trucking and also drove for Pilot Freight Lines for many years. Fred was a devoted member of First Wesleyan Church in Randleman where he was a choir member and former vice-chair of the Local Board of Administration. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rebecca Linebarrier Farlow, son, J. Dean Farlow and his loyal canine friend, Lady. He is survived by his wife, Ann Farlow; daughters, Terri Maness and her husband Randy of Asheboro, Freda Key of Asheboro; son, Troy A. Farlow and his wife Teresa of Pace, FL; sister, Beatrice Masengale of Randleman; step-sons, Mark Caveness and his fiance' Chris Wagner of Kernersville, Mitchell Caveness and his wife Pamela of Asheboro; grandchildren, Joshua L. "Josh" Maness of Asheboro, Jeremy Key and his wife Shannon Key of Asheboro, Brad Key of Asheboro, Chandra Farlow of Washington, Dean Farlow of Pace, FL; step grandchildren, Derek Caveness, Brandon Caveness; great grandchild, Kaitlyn; mother-in-law, Eleanor Brewster of Asheboro.The family will receive friends Thursday, July 30, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
