Franklin Delano Lamb, age 83, of Asheboro died Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Randolph Hospital.
Mr. Lamb was born November 5, 1932 in Randolph County to John and Cora Richardson Lamb.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict and a member of Farmer Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Lamb was the former owner of Lamb's Heating and Air and Lamb's Mobile Home Sales. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lamb was preceded in death his wife, Jacqueline Johnson Lamb, sons, Michael, Jeffrey and Brian Lamb, brothers, Bill, John, Gurney, George and Woody Lamb and sisters, Jewel Lamb Stetler and Cora Lamb Lanier.
He is survived by his sons, Greg Lamb of Fancy Gap, VA, Mark Lamb and wife Lisa of Randleman, Jason Lamb and wife Andi of Asheboro; daughters, Mona Lamb Bravo and husband Fernando of Asheboro, Evelyn Lamb and husband Ken of Asheboro, Alice Lamb Deaver and husband Keith of Broken Arrow, OK, Pamela Lamb Hurley and husband Bryan of Asheboro; 23 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Lamb Thornton of Virginia, Bonnie Lamb Smith of Pennsylvania; daughters-in-law, Lynn Lamb of Troy, Suzanne Lamb of Seagrove.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 6-8:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro and other times at the home of Jason Lamb, 4415 New Hope Church Rd., Asheboro. Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 4:00 PM at Farmer Missionary Baptist Church, 4566 Dunbar Bridge Rd., Asheboro with Pastor Keith Letterman, Pastor Neil Poole and Brother Greg Lamb officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
