Frankie Lee Phillips Hunter, age 85, of Asheboro died Friday, November 11, 2016 at High Point Regional Hospital, High Point.
Mrs. Hunter was born July 27, 1931 the daughter of Wiley Phillips and Edna Robinson Phillips.
Mrs. Hunter was a native of Guilford County and a homemaker. She was of Baptist Faith and dearly loved her family. Frankie was a caring, giving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and sister. In addition to her parents, Frankie was preceded in death by her husband: James Clyde Hunter and brothers: Wiley Jr., J.P. and Rodney Phillips.
She is survived by her: son and daughter-in-law, Phil and Kathy Hunter of Ramseur, NC; daughter and her husband: Debbie and Chris Cox of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren:, Chris (Lisa) Hunter, Joe (Holly) Hunter, Patrick (Danielle) Hunter, Jessica Austin, Torie (Thomas) Cox-Simpson and Brandon Cox; great grandchildren: Keagen, Dillon, Chase, River, Violet, Hailey, Patrick and Wesley Hunter and Kinlee Simpson; brother: Lacy Phillips of High Falls.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Rev. Thomas Cochran officiating.
Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
