Frank Lonnie Freeman, age 88, of Asheboro died Sunday, February 10, 2013 at the Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.
Mr. Freeman was born January 31, 1925 the son of Lee and Rosa Thompson Freeman.
Mr. Freeman was a long time resident of Asheboro and was retired from Burlington Industries with over 30 years of service. He was a member of West Asheboro Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Irene Gibson Freeman, brothers Luther, Bill, and Clark Freeman, and sisters Mattie Mead and Ella Rose Stinson.
He is survived by his daughter Dianne Greene and her husband, Rev. Darrell Greene of Kernersville; sons Larry Freeman and his wife Janice of Winston-Salem, Roland Freeman and his wife Donna of Winston-Salem; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; sisters Frances Mengel of Charlotte, Nellie Dennis of Norwood, NC and Ida Hunt of Flint, MI.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 3:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Rev. Samuel K. Hicks officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at Pugh Funeral Home. Burial will be at Randolph Memorial Park.
