Frank Harold Blake

Frank Harold Blake, age 72, of 406 Poole Road, Troy died Sunday, August 25, 2013 at his home. Frank was born January 9, 1941 at Montgomery County, NC, the son of Herbert and Opal Frick Blake. He was a member of Blackwood Chapel Baptist Church and owner/operator of Blake's Hosiery. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings: James Blake, Herbert Blake, Jr., Betty Ernst and twins, Maxine and Max Blake. Frank is survived by one daughter: Vivian Blake Cook of Troy; two sons: Harold Franklin Blake and Jeff Blake, both of Troy; 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; five sisters: Pauline McCormick of Pekin, Gathy Pooles of Norwood, Carol Wright (twin) of Asheboro, Linda Lemanski, Ann Sasser of Pekin; two brothers: Alvin Blake of Rockingham and Kenneth Blake of Troy. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 27, 2013 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other times at the home. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Blackwood Chapel Baptist Church, 5159 Pekin Road, Candor with Rev. Junior Medlin and Rev. Carl Burrow officiating.
