Francis O'Quinn Morris

Francis O'Quinn "Bo" Morris, age 85, of 324 Little River Road, Seagrove died Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro.Mr. Morris was born May 27, 1924 the son of William Marvin and Betty Johnson Morris.Francis was a native of Angier, NC a farmer, barber and the former owner/operator of Morris Self-Service in Seagrove, NC. Francis served in the US Navy during WWII. He loved his country, and considered it a great honor to have served in the military. He was an avid fan of Duke Basketball, Western Movies, particularly John Wayne movies , considered it a privilege to live in North Carolina and thought Seagrove well water was the best water in the world. He is preceded in death by one daughter: Shelia Morris Younts. He is survived by his wife of 63 years: Zelma Fore Morris; one daughter: Wilhelmina Morris of Asheboro, NC; granddaughter and her husband, Tracy and Rayland Richardson of Seagrove, NC; grandson and his wife, Casey and Charlene Leach of Conway, SC; great grandchildren: Bryce Leach of Asheboro; Holly and Ryan Richardson of Seagrove; William Leach of Conway, SC and many nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 14, 2009 from Noon-1:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and Francis will lie in state at the funeral home from 2:30 - 6:00 PM on Tuesday, October 13, 2009. The funeral will be Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro with Rev. Howard McNeill officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in New Hope Memorial Gardens, Asheboro Memorials may be made to Randolph County Honor Guard, P.O.
