Francis Roscoe Lennon, Jr.

Francis Roscoe Lennon, Jr., age 86, of Asheboro died Monday, July 31, 2017 at Randolph Hospice House. Mr. Lennon was born March 1, 1931 in Sampson County to Francis and Floy Lennon. He attended Asheboro Business College and University of North Carolina. Mr. Lennon was an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was previously employed with Peoples Savings and Loan and retired from the US Postal Service after 20 years of service. Mr. Lennon was a member of First United Methodist Church and a member of the Christian Love Sunday school class. He loved cars and motorcycles and transported vehicles for Asheboro Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty Brown Lennon; daughter, Debbie Miller and husband Charlie of Asheboro; son, Lee Lennon of Asheboro. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:00 pm on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home. Burial with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
