Frances Delette Toomes, age 75, of Franklinville died Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro.
Mrs. Toomes was born April 13, 1941 the daughter of Virgil and Lenora White Johnson.
Frances was a native of Randolph County and retired from Sara Lee in Asheboro. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. Frances loved the beach and enjoyed reading and working in her flowers. In addition to her parents, Frances is preceded in death by her brother, A.V. Johnson and sister, Annette Foster.
She is survived by her husband: Wayne Toomes of the home; son: Michael Toomes and his wife Debbie of Franklinville; grandchildren, Mickaela Toomes and Hannah Toomes both of Franklinville; sister: Jeanette Marsh and her husband Todd of Franklinville; aunts; Pat White of Winston-Salem, and Lavola Lucas of Asheboro; uncle; Odell White of Mt. Airy.
The family will receive friends Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will be held Friday, September 2, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Bethany United Methodist Church, 3650 Bethany Church Road, Franklinville with Pastor Pat Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
