Frances Marsh Spencer, age 75, of Sophia passed peacefully at her home surrounded by her family Sunday, August 23, 2015 after a courageous battle with ALS.
Frances was a native of Surry County and retired from Crawford Knitting Company. She loved her family and friends and her Savior. She enjoyed going to yard sales which can be attested by her close friends and family who she was always thinking of when she would find a "good buy". Frances enjoyed the everyday beauty of the world and would often say "The Lord has made such a beautiful day for us". She appreciated the simple things in life. We find comfort in knowing that she is not constrained by the cruel restrictions caused by ALS.She will be greatly missed. Frances is preceded in death by her grandson Thomas "Luke" Spencer.
