Frances O. Robinson

Frances O. Robinson, age 93, of Troy went to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro, N.C.

Mrs. Robinson was born February 21, 1926 in Montgomery County, the daughter of Thomas H. and Hulda Whitley Overton. Frances was a lifelong resident of Troy. She worked in the office of the Town of Troy for 21 years before retiring. She enjoyed playing the piano for Eastern Star Chapter #329, of which she was a Charter Member. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Troy and taught and played piano for Children's Sunday School. She was a wonderful cook and loved to sew.

She is survived by her husband of 75 years, Charles Alvin (Bubbie) Robinson; two daughters: Annette Kilby (Alvin) of Monroe, N.C. and Pam McGuirt of Clinton, N.C.; one son: Charles Robinson of Troy, N.C.; one sister: Elizabeth McCollum of Asheboro, N.C.; one brother: Max Overton (Lillian) of Troy N.C.; five grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Lane Overton; and son in law: James McGuirt.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Troy, 401 E. Main Street, Troy, N.C. with Rev. Vanlene Nelson officiating. A visitation will follow the service. Burial will be private at Southside Cemetery, Troy.
