Frances Odom Owens

Frances Odom Owens, age 100, of 500 Mountain Top Dr., Asheboro died Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Charlotte United Methodist Church, 1182 Charlotte Church Rd., Asheboro with Rev. Angel Christ officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Owens was born in Marlboro County, SC on September 3, 1912 to Daniel and Martha Jane Stubbs Odom, who preceded her in death. She was retired from Stedman Manufacturing and was formerly employed with Little Texas and Seafood Kitchen. Frances was a member of Charlotte United Methodist Church where she enjoyed being part of the "Hallelujah Singers." Frances also enjoyed traveling and talking. She is survived by her daughter, Louise Little and her husband Jimmie of Randleman; son, Bill Owens and his wife Barbara of Asheboro; grandchildren, Jimmie Dale Little, Amanda Little Huffstetler and her husband Kelly all of Asheboro, Neil Owens and his wife Angie of Denton, David Owens and his wife Alana of Swansboro, Steve Owens and his wife Melinda, Laurin Owens and his wife Lori all of Asheboro; great grandchildren, Kali Huffstetler, Sabrina Owens, Sarah Owens, Preston Owens, Aneil Owens, Devin Owens, Hannah Owens, Eli Owens, Josiah Owens, Lilly Owens, T.J. Owens, Steven Owens, Kirill Owens; great great grandchild, Marley; sister, Stella O'Donnell of Barstow, CA; and sister-in-law, Peggy Gordon of Asheboro. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The family would like to express a special thanks to the nurses and CNA's at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home for the special care given to Frances.
