Frances Lassiter McRae

Frances Lassiter McRae, age 90, formerly of Mt. Gilead died Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Taylor House, Albermarle. Mrs. McRae was born August 26, 1925 the daughter of Alberta and Elgie Morris Lassiter. Mrs. McRae was a native of Montgomery County and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years: Philip McRae; two sons: Terry McRae and P.J. McRae; grandchildren: Kenneth and Michelle; brothers and sisters: Bernadeen Hitchcock, Betty J. Smith, Clara Dellota, Tommy Lassiter, Alvin Lassiter, Alan Lassiter and Helen Howell. She is survived by three sons: Michael McRae of Albemarle, NC, Harry McRae of Troy, NC, Mark McRae of Albemarle, NC; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister: Blanche Capel of Albemarle, NC; brother: Larry "Babe" Lassiter of Troy, NC. The family will receive friends Monday, March 21, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy, NC and other times the home of her son: Harry McRae, 303 Lineberry Street, Troy, NC. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Wadeville Baptist Church, 144 Shoe Factory Rd, Mt. Gilead with Rev. Jim Hunsucker officiating.
