Frances Dean Bolick Hurley, age 82, of Asheboro passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Randolph Health.
Mrs. Hurley was born in Burke County, NC on October 4, 1934 to Floyd and Annie Mae Pearson Bolick. She was a 1952 graduate of Morganton High School . Frances was a homemaker most of her life, but was also formerly employed with Leslie's The Book Store and Pinehurst Textiles. She was a longtime organist for Salem Methodist Church in Morganton. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her son, Alex Hurley and brother, Herbie Bolick. Frances was the mother of 3 boys which kept her busy seeing to their needs and keeping them in line. Frances enjoyed spending time with her boys at their cabin in the South Mountains of Burke County, especially the family picnic on July 4th or any other impromptu gathering of friends and family.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Hurley; sons, Mike Hurley of Seattle, WA and William Hurley and wife Jenny of Morganton; grandchildren, Adrianna Hurley, Holland Hurley, and Brooks Hurley; great grandchildren, Emmalee Watts and Bentlee Owen.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 13, 2017 in the mausoleum chapel at Burke Memorial Park, 2506 Burke Memorial Park Rd., Morganton, NC.
