Mary Frances Hammer Hall, age 71, of Asheboro died Wednesday, January 20, 2010 in her home following a courageous battle with a long term illness.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church, 133 North Church Street, Asheboro with Dr. John S. Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Asheboro.
Frances was a native of Chatham County and was a member of First Baptist Church of Asheboro. Frances was married on August 5, 1961 in Siler City to the love of her life, Homer Glenn Hall, Jr. who preceded her in death in July, 2008. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother who always placed family first.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Hall and her friend Cheryl Earl of Raleigh, NC; sons, Glenn Hall and his wife Cindy of High Point, NC, Philip Hall and his wife Tracy of Asheboro, NC; grandson, Jason Hall; granddaughter, Meredith Hall; mother, Kathleen Hammer of Siler City, NC; and brother, Charles Hammer and his wife Millie of Chattanooga, TN.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 22, 2010 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at her home.
