Frances Gibson Kelly

Frances Gibson Kelly, age 87, of Pekin Rd, Candor died Monday, November 2, 2015 at Stanly Manor, Albemarle. Mrs. Kelly was born January 21, 1928 at Troy, NC, the daughter of Hiram and Monnie Atkins Gibson. She was a member of Exway Baptist Church and a retired employee of Smitherman Cotton Mill. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Kelly and a sister, Shirley Elam. She is survived by one daughter: Elaine McDonald and husband Leon of Candor; three sons: Ronald Lemonds and wife Judy of Troy, David Lemonds and wife Ginger of Troy, Terry Lemonds and wife Kathy of Camden, SC; 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; four sisters: Ruby Hunsucker, Patricia Cooke, Yvonne McIntyre, and Joyce Jarrell, all of Troy; one brother: Lonnie Gibson and wife Coline of Mt. Gilead. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 4, 2015 from 6-8 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 N Main St., Troy; other times at the home of Ronald and Judy Lemonds. The funeral will be Thursday at 2:00 pm at Exway Baptist Church, 2119 County Line Rd., Mt. Gilead with Rev. Mike Helms and Rev.Terry Burris officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
