Frances Lois Burkhart

Frances Lois Pearce Burkhart, age 85, of 2104 Lamar Dr., Asheboro died Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 4, 2008 at 11:30 AM at Balfour Baptist Church, 1644 North Fayetteville Street, Asheboro with Rev. Tim Lowry and Rev. James Stephen (Bud) Parrish officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro. Frances was born in Asheboro on April 28, 1922, the daughter of John Calvin and Annie Bulla Pearce. She was formerly employed with Belk-Yates and at the North Asheboro Junior High School cafeteria. She was a member of Balfour Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, James Wesley Burkhart, and her sister, Margaret Moody. She is survived by her daughter, Lynn B. Perry of Trinity, NC; son, Raymond Pearce Burkhart of the home; grandson, Henry James Perry of Archdale, NC; sisters, Edna Heath of Greensboro, NC, Lucy Parrish of Greensboro, NC; and Bonnie Davenport and her husband Stephen Davenport of Asheboro, NC; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 3, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at her home.
