Fern Lowdermilk

Vivian Fern Lowdermilk, age 84, of 4311 Lowdermilk Rd., Asheboro died Monday, January 16, 2012 at Randolph Hospital. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 19, 2012 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will follow on Thursday at 2:00pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barry L. Queen and Rev. J. Harold Hammond officiating. Burial will be in the Huldah Baptist Church Cemetery. Fern was born in Randolph County on June 6, 1927 to Garland and Mary Gladys Cornelison Lowdermilk. She graduated from Seagrove High School and attended New Zion Church and Flag Springs United Methodist Church. She was a hairdresser and was formerly employed with Virginia's Beauty Shop in West End, NC. In addition to her parents, Fern was preceded in death by her sisters Golda Yates and Jewel Ann Lowdermilk. She is survived by her brother, Dale Lowdermilk of Asheboro, NC; and nephew, Deevon Yates of Asheboro, NC.
