Ferdinand Marcel "Ferd" Trobridge, age 86, formerly of 1306 Old Cox Rd., Asheboro died Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Brighton Gardens in Greensboro.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 4:30 PM at the First Presbyterian Church, 420 West Walker Ave., Asheboro with Rev. Connie Weaver officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the church.
Mr. Trobridge was born on May 8, 1924 in Sidney, OH to George and Dessie Henson Trobridge. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and retired as an Aerospace Engineer with Northrop in Los Angeles, CA. Ferd was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Asheboro and was preceded in death by his wife Bertha Kearns Trobridge.
He is survived by his daughter, Debra T. Johns and her husband David of Asheboro, NC; son, Gregory J. Trobridge and his wife Janet of Bass Harbor, ME; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and sisters, Julia Miller of Oregon and Martha Markert of Texas.
