RANDLEMAN - Faye Oga Walls Cross, age 83, of Carolina House Of Asheboro, Asheboro died Friday, July 5, 2013 at GrayBrier Nursing And Retirement Center, Archdale. Mrs. Cross was born May 6, 1930 the daughter of James and Emma Taylor Walls. Mrs. Cross was a native of Randolph County and a homemaker. She was of Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Walter Glen Cross, two sons: Bobby Walls, Sr. and Danny Walls and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by two sons:: Ernest "Ernie" Varner, Jr. and his wife, Rhonda of Randleman, James Ray Varner and his wife, Mel of Winston Salem, daughter: Kathy Varner Nance and her husband, David of Asheboro, 7 grandchildren: Christopher Varner and wife, Sabrina, of Pleasant Garden, Danny Varner and wife, Jennifer of Randleman, Elizabeth Varner of Guilford County, Ashley Deaton and husband, Josh of Ramseur, Thomas Truitt of Florida, Bobby Walls, Jr. and wife Jennifer, of Hillsville and Tammy Lohr and husband, Frankie of High Point; 9 great grandchildren: Haley and Madison Varner, Kara and Ryder Varner, Brantlee Deaton, Mikalah Walls, Felicca, Faith and Trinity Lohr; sister: Dot Smith of Hardeeville, SC, brother: Frank Walls of Southmont and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 10, 2013 from 12:00 - 1:45 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC and other times at her sons home: 6487 Mason Circle, Randleman. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ron Kimble and Pastor Jairus Towe officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
