Faye Macklin Parker

Anna Faye Macklin Parker, age 63, of 403 Daughter's Dr., Newport, NC went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 14, 2009 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC.Mrs. Parker was born September 10,1945 the daughter of the late Luther T. and the late Esther Lee (Rufkin) Macklin. Mrs. Parker was a loving mother and grandmother and loved her Lord. She was a native of Nash County, NC., a member of Community Baptist Church in Newport, NC and was formerly employed by Klaussner Furniture Industries of Asheboro. She was preceded in death by husband, Bobby Parker, her son, E.W. Parker, sisters, Daisy Smith, Judy Baines and Ann Williamson and brothers, J.D. and Tony Macklin. She is survived by her daughters: Brenda Thompson of Ramseur, NC and Tammy Batten and her husband Doug of Ramseur; granddaughter, Danielle Poole of Asheboro, NC; grandson, Christopher Tew of Ramseur, NC; granddaughter, Amber Parker of Nashville, NC; grandson, Clint Batten of Ramseur, NC; granddaughter, Andrea Batten of Ramseur, NC; great grandson, Jordan Poole; great granddaughter, Destiny Thompson; great grandson, Jaydan Tew; two sisters: Pamela Lamb and Barbara Jones both of Rocky Mount, NC and two brothers: Luther Macklin of Newport, NC and Marvin Macklin of Rocky Mount, NCThe family will receive friends Sunday, August 16, from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and at other times at the home of Tammy and Doug Batten at 1298 Brooklyn Av. Ext., Ramseur, NC. Funeral services will be Monday at 2:00 PM at Lakeside Park Church of God, 151 Lakeside Park Rd., Franklinville, NC with Pastor Ken Bartholomew and Pastor Ken Whitley officiating. Burial will follow in Panther Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Asheboro.
