Fannie Jewell Freeman, age 90, of 5545 Hayes Farm Rd., Seagrove died Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro.
Mrs. Freeman was born February 16, 1925 in Montgomery County, NC the daughter of Charlie and Nannie Cagle Freeman.
She was a former employee with many years of service of Weiman Furniture. She enjoyed talking on the phone with her friends and watching “The Price Is Right.”
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Hubert Ellis Freeman, three brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her children: Elon Freeman and wife, Judy of Vass, David Freeman of Raeford, Doris Freeman of Liberty, Thomas Freeman and wife, Donna of Ramseur, Lois Deberry and husband, Earl of Cordova, James Freeman and wife, Judy of Pleasant Garden, Paul Freeman and wife, Rhonda of Ramseur, Jerry Freeman and wife, Sheila of Smith Station, Alabama, Jane McKenzie and husband, Gary of Seagrove; 24 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 N Main St., Troy; other time at the home of Jane and Gary McKenzie, 5745 Picketts Mill Rd., Seagrove, NC. The funeral will be Friday at 2 pm at Pugh- Troy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Adam Beddingfield, Thomas Johnson and Paul Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Southside Cemetery, S. Main St., Troy.
