Exie Loflin Mabe Kearns

Exie Loflin Mabe Kearns, age 89, of Asheboro died Saturday, September 19, 2015. Mrs. Kearns was born November 14, 1925 the daughter of Leander and Nina Smith Loflin. Exie was a native of Randolph County and a member of Sawyersville Wesleyan Church. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse, and retired after many years from Asheboro Family Physicians. She was in the first graduating LPN class at Randolph Community College. She is preceded in death by her husbands: Elmor J. Mabe and William B. Kearns; four brothers: Emery Loflin of Asheboro, NC, Odell Loflin of Denton, NC, Cleamon Loflin of Asheboro, NC, Elmer Loflin of Denton, NC. She is survived by one son: Ron Mabe of Valrico, FL; daughter-in-law Betty Hu Mabe of Valrico, FL; grandchildren: Logan Mabe and Katelyn Mabe; 4 great grandchildren; stepson: Curtis Kearns of Seagrove, NC; stepdaughter: Patricia McBride of Fort Walton Beach, FL; stepdaughter: Joyce Kivett of Seagrove, NC; stepdaughter: Brenda Monroe of Trinity, NC; stepdaughter: Carol Watson of New London, NC; 7 step-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday, September 21, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home 437 Sunset Ave. Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Sawyersville Wesleyan Church, 157 Sawyersville Road, Asheboro, NC with Rev. Darrell Rabon, Rev. Howard Moffitt and Rev. Jeff Garner officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
