Evelyn Greene Scott

Evelyn Greene Scott, age 71, of 115 Deerfield Circle, Troy died Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Evelyn was born April 19, 1943 at Candor, NC the daughter of Carson and Ruth Goforth Greene. She attended Troy Wesleyan Church and was a former employee of Russell Hosiery Mills of Star and First Bank. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Helen G. Brown. She is survived by her husband of fifty-three years: Jimmie C Scott of the home; two daughters: Anita Richardson (Kyle) of Troy, and Debbie Caviness (Greg) also of Troy; one son: Tony Scott (Christie) of Carolina Beach; four grandchildren and one great-grandson. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 22, 2015 from 6-8 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other times at the home. The funeral will be Monday at 2:00 pm at Troy Wesleyan Church, 842 Ophir Avenue, Troy with Pastor James Brewer officiating. Burial will be in Southside Cemetery, Troy.
