Evelyn Ethel Anderson

Evelyn Ethel Culver Anderson, born on February 15, 1916 to Harrison and Cora Culverin Esmond, SD. The family moved to Vilas, SD where Evelyn spent most of her childhood years, then Carthage, SD. where she lived most of her years. Evelyn married Wesley Jesse Anderson on October 31, 1936 in Pipestone, Minn. To this union were four children: Wesley Dean Anderson (Bonnie), Allen Anderson, Gary Lee Anderson, and Sheryl Sengstock (Donald); four grandchildren: Kelly Howard, Kris Anderson, Dawn Anderson and Ronald Anderson; four great grandchildren: Lindsey, Riley, Kelsey Howard and Emily Anderson; one sister: Lois Muller. In addition to her parents, Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband Wesley Anderson; brothers: Elmer and Farrel Culver; sisters: Geneva Schafe and Velma Schafer. Evelyn was in the Topo Club and the Sunshine Club for many years. Her greatest love was her Lord and Savior for 68 years. She traveled the state with a church quartet singing. Evelyn will be dearly missed by her surviving family members and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
