Eunice Marie Moore

Eunice Marie Moore, age 102, of Troy passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at her home.

Mrs. Moore was born March 7, 1917 in Montgomery County, the daughter of Eddie Wesley Roberts and Lottie McRae Roberts. Eunice worked as a machine operator for Capel Mills, retiring after 54 years. She was a very loving mother, loyal, and family oriented with a unique sense of humor. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed canning and cooking for everyone.

She is survived by son: Thomas Moore of Troy; daughters: Catherine "Sissie" King of Troy and Deborah Ashby of Troy; sister: Maxine Robinson of Albemarle; daughter in law: Mae Moore of Troy; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 18 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband: Garland Thomas Moore; sons: Gerald Brantley Moore and Charles Timothy Moore; sisters: Louise Haltom, Mary Lee Bruton, Edna Batten, Mollie Robinson, and Bobbie Blue; brothers: John Roberts and J.D. Roberts.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 4:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. at Tabernacle Baptist Church of Troy, 412 Bell Street, Troy, NC. A Funeral Service will follow with Rev. Brantley Moore and Dr. Lee Church officiating.

The family would like to extend a thank you to Eunice’s Hospice caregivers, Family First Home Care, and a special thank you to her long-term caregiver of eleven years, Brenda C. Wall.
