Eunice Elizabeth Manning

Eunice Elizabeth Blocker Manning, age 96, of Thomasville died Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Pine Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center, Thomasville. Mrs. Manning was born March 15, 1921 in Huntsville, AL the daughter of Lester and Mattie Newby Blocker. Elizabeth owned a store "Johnny's Corner" in Gretna, LA. She was a member of the Eastern Star and member of Daughter of the Nile. Elizabeth loved her family and enjoyed traveling the United States. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband, John Newton Manning, son, John Lester Manning, grandson, Brian Manning, 6 brothers and 1 sister. She is survived by her grandchildren: Darlene Nercessian of Trinity, Alan Manning of New Jersey and Lisa Manning of La.; great grandchildren: Brandon Price and wife Christina and Amberlee Price; great great grandchildren: Megan Price, Joshua King, Lacey Price, Brandon Price, II and Jazmyne Hunt; sister: Frances Cagle of AL. Services will be held at a later date.
