Estherleen Boone

Estherleen Brown Boone, age 91, of Seagrove died Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Randolph Hospice House. Mrs. Boone was a native of Moore County and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially raking the yard and sitting on the porch. Mrs. Boone was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Boone and son, Harold Boone. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Lamb and husband Kenneth of Seagrove, Joyce B. Lucas of Troy; sons, Stevie L. Boone and girlfriend Penny Harper, Timothy M. Boone and John Raeford "J. R." Boone all of Seagrove; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Inita Brewer of Eagle Springs, Octavia Baxter of Bennett; brothers, Russell Brown and Odell Brown both of Eagle Springs; daughters-in-law, Wanda Boone and Betty Boone both of Seagrove. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 26, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lee Green officiating. Burial will be in Boone Family Cemetery, Seagrove. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Randolph and Hospice House for the care and compassion given to Mrs. Boone during her illness.
