Esther Allred Davidson

Esther Allred Davidson, age 94, of 1122 Tory Lane, Asheboro died Monday, May 6, 2013 at Randolph Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert L. Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park. Mrs. Davidson was born in Randleman on July 22, 1918 to Thomas Kelly and Swannie Sheppard Allred. She was retired from Fancy Samples in Glenola and attended South Plainfield Friends Meeting. In addition to her parents, Esther was preceded in death by her husband Farrell W. Davidson, son Darrell L. Davidson, brother Howard Allred, and sisters Helen Davidson and Dot Davis. Esther enjoyed working in her flowers, feeding and watching her hummingbirds, riding her golf cart, and enjoying her cat Angel. She is survived by her son, Bill Davidson and his wife Pennie of Asheboro; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Davidson of Asheboro; granddaughter, Tammy Davidson of Asheboro; grandson, Tommy Davidson and his wife Annessa of Asheboro; great grandchildren, Anna and Luke Davidson; and sister, Mina Cole of Randleman. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at her home. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
