Ester Small Davidson

Ester Small Davidson, age 103, of Asheboro, died Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro.

Born June 5, 1914 in Davidson County NC, she was the daughter of Ream H. and Eunice Pierce Small.

Ester was a gifted quilter, baker, and gardener. She received many compliments on her lovely yard and flowers. She retired from Stedman Corp and was a member of West Bend United Methodist Church.

She is survived by three sisters: Annie Mae Robbins of Asheboro, Alene Gallimore of Lexington, and Marie Freeman of Randleman; one brother Everett Buck Small and his wife, Evelean, of Asheboro; and a daughter-in-law June Davidson of Pinehurst. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Danny Davidson(Vicki), Amanda Ray(Martin), Donna Davidson, all of OK; Mark Davidson(Stacy) and Ross Davidson(Amanda) of Raleigh; 12 great grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren; beloved nieces and nephews, and a splendid bouquet of friends.

In addition to her parents, Ester was preceded in death by her sons Charles E. Davidson and Gary S. Davidson.

Funeral service will be Saturday, January 27 at 11:00 AM at West Bend United Methodist Church, 1080 Albemarle Rd, Asheboro, with Rev. Kari Howard officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing and visitation will be held in the church sanctuary prior to the service at 10:00 AM.
