Ernest Franklin Jarrell

Ernest Franklin "Pete" Jarrell, age 60, of 265 Jarvis Miller Road Asheboro died Thursday, February 10, 2011 in Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the High Pine Wesleyan Church Cemetery. Mr. Jarrell was born September 13, 1950 the son of Walter Franklin and Dora Leah Little Jarrell. Pete was a native of Randolph County and had worked in the furniture manufacturing industry. He was a simple country gentleman and loved to raise chickens, listen to the Swap Shop and work outside. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one half sister, Evelyn Kearns. He is survived by one daughter: Cathy Denise Escutia of Randleman, NC and one son: Ernest Eugene Jarrell of Randleman, NC; grandchildren: Tiffany Nicole Jarrell, Joseph Ray Kivett and Jessica Rosemary Escutia; one sister: Judy Lamar of Asheboro, NC and two brothers: Larry Jarrell and John "Tommy" Jarrell both of Asheboro, NC; half sister, Dorothy Cagle of Asheboro, NC; and half brother, Bobby Jarrell of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro.
