Erla Mook Fales, age 86, of 444 Vestal Rd., Troy, N.C., went to be the Lord Sunday, July 13, 2008 at her home.
She was a native of Warren, Ohio, and a Christian. She was a member of the Fowler Community Church, a past member of the Fowler Garden Club, Fowler Civic Club, Fowler Fair Committee, Neal PTA president, Girl Scout leader and American Cancer volunteer. Erla liked to travel, never met a stranger and was a friend to many. Although ill the past few years, she never lost the twinkle in her blue eyes. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her devoted husband of fifty-six years, Don; daughter, Claudia Suverison of Fowler, daughter, Cathy Seabolt of Troy; one sister: Peggy Withrow of Seattle, WA; brothers: Dale Mook and Claude Mook, both of Warren; grandchildren: Noreen Rhine, Doreen Enos and Paul Spencer in Ohio, Lynn Epps and Steven Seabolt in Troy; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Bernice Mook, an infant son, sisters Florence Evans and Nellie Davis, granddaughter Donna Mohney, grandson Chris Gless and son-in-law Lyle Suverison.
Services will be held at the Fowler Community Church on Saturday, July 19 at 11:00 a.m with Rev. Joel Dickson officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
