Eric Bernard Allmond

Eric Bernard Allmond, age 64, of Asheboro died Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 24, 2013 from 2:00 PM - 2:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. A memorial service will follow on Sunday at 2:30 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Tim Pheagin officiating and with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Allmond was a native of Gaston County and served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was employed in automobile sales and service for 25 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Silas Allmond. Eric was very family oriented and was a loving husband and father. He loved beach music, trips to the beach, and enjoyed flowers and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Doris Sikes Allmond; son, Eric Allmond II and his wife Lauren of Asheboro; mother, Mildred Allmond of Asheboro; sisters, Linda Graham and her husband Odell Graham III of Asheboro, Sherry McMasters and her husband Mitchell of Ramseur; nephews, Zachary Graham of Asheboro, Nicholas Graham and his wife Molly of Archdale; nieces, Emily Soto and her husband Josh of Randleman, Crystal Walker of Ramseur; and beloved canine friend, Dixie Lou.
