Emmett Joseph Feeley, age 78, of 4137 Perryman Rd., Ramseur died Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Tim Pheagin officiating and military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Mr. Feeley was a native of Syracuse, NY and grew up on Oneida Lake where he learned to hunt and fish and his family owned a restaurant. After graduating high school he joined the Air Force and served as a Sergeant in Korea. In 1953 Mr. Feeley started working for the Connrail Railroad Police and later became Chief of Police in Connrail. After retiring in 1984, he enjoyed traveling, fishing, deer hunting and being outdoors. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Mary and mother of his children, Earline Feeley; daughters, Kelly Vassallo and her husband Vincent of North Hampton, Kacey Merkle of Buffalo, NY; son, Neal Feeley of Morrisville, PA; step-daughters, Cindy Larson of Plankinton, SD, Joann Martincic of Ormond Beach, FL; Mark Wheeler of Port Orange, FL; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sister, Patricia Magee and her husband Charlie of Long Beach, CA.
