Mrs. Currie was born September 1, 1953 in New Jersey to Thad and Christine Plummer. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Mrs. Currie enjoyed working in her flowers, reading, crocheting and making blankets for her family. She loved her cats, Sissy and Skittles. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Currie was preceded in death by her husband of 20+ years, Michael Currie, brothers, Teddy and Lewis Plummer and nephew, Joshua Plummer.
Mrs. Currie is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Valetutto of the home, Anthony (Tiffany) Platz of Randleman; grandson, William Platz; niece, Amber Plummer; nephew, Matthew Plummer; sister, Ann Plummer Greene of Asheboro.
The family will receive friends Monday, May 13, 2024 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 11:00 am in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerod Davis and Rev. Eric Davis officating. Burial will follow in Faith Temple Baptist Church Cemetery.
