Emma Mae Langley Castelloe

Emma Mae Langley Castelloe, age 89, formerly of Asheboro passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.

Mrs. Castelloe was born in Randolph County on November 6, 1929 to Clark Gattis and Lucille Patterson Langley. Emma was a graduate of St. Leo's School of Nursing. She was employed as a Registered Nurse and retired from Randolph Hospital. Emma was a very active member of First Baptist Church Summerfield. In addition to her parents, Emma was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Cephas Castelloe, Jr., and her siblings, Linda, Floyd, Paul, and Gattis Langley.

She is survived by her son, Steve Castelloe (Doreen) of Asheboro; daughters, Jenny Riker (Brian) of Greensboro and Kellie Rigsbee (David) of Durham; grandchildren, Brett Castelloe (Elisabeth), Neil Castelloe (Lauren), Leah Atkins (Greg), Kyle Riker, Joshua Rigsbee, and Matthew Rigsbee; great grandchildren, Hope, Gabriel, Kaylee and Mark Castelloe; step grandchildren, Starr Husketh (Carl) and Amber Henderson (Scott); step great grandchildren, Dalton Husketh, Sabrina Husketh, and Macy Henderson; and siblings, Katie Stone, Martha Shelby, Magdalene Wright, Joe Langley, and Johnny Langley.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 9:45-10:45 am at First Baptist Church Summerfield, 2300 Scalesville Road in Summerfield. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church Summerfield with Dr. Richard Odom, Rev. Larry Kirby, and Rev. Derrick Moody officiating. The family will also receive friends on Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 2:30-3:15 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Asheboro at 3:30 pm.
