ELSIE M. HALE NOV. 27, 1938 - DEC. 13, 2012 Elsie Marlene Graves Hale, 74, of Star, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012, at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro, NC, of Congestive Heart Failure. Mrs. Hale was born on November 27, 1938, in Frankfort, Indiana to Oscar and Margaret Lucy (Finger) Graves. Mrs. Hale was child number seven out of fourteen children. She graduated from Frankfort High School and attended three and one-half years of college at Wesleyan College in Indiana. Mrs. Hale is survived by her husband Harold R. Hale of Star, North Carolina; her four children, Donna S. Anderson of Dallas, TX, Larry R. Hale (Jennie) of Charlotte, NC, H. Douglas Hale (Shawna) of Apex, NC, and Angela K. Decker (William) of Pecatonica, IL. She is also survived by ten grandchildren: Christopher Anderson (Dawn), Stephen Anderson, Ryan Anderson (Leanne), Matthew Hale (Dannielle), Jessica O'Brien (Chris), Samuel Hale, Stefan Hale, Luke Hale, Haley Decker and Aaron Decker; also nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: sisters, Linda Darlene Lester, Velma Pritts, Luella Martin, and Verna Carter; brothers: Danny Graves, Robert Graves, Raymond Graves and Mike Graves. Mrs. Hale loved Jesus with all of her heart, playing music at church and helping others in need. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Maxine Johnson, Juanita McKinney, and Rena Mae Graves; and brothers Frederick Graves, Roy Graves and Troy Graves. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, December 16th, 2012, 5:00 PM at Asheboro First Church of The Nazarene, 2657 Southmont Drive, Asheboro, NC 27205.
