Elsie Lou Lincoln

Elsie Lou Turner Lincoln, age 90, of Troy passed away peacefully Friday, October 20, 2017 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.

Mrs. Lincoln was born July 16, 1927 in Florence, SC, the daughter of the late Monroe and Pansey McKnight Turner. She worked at the License Plate office in Troy for over 50 years. Elsie enjoyed cooking and doing yard work. She loved attending races at Darlington and Daytona with her husband Al and was a member at Troy Presbyterian Church. Elsie truly loved all her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Al; son, Jay Lincoln; three brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by grandsons, Trey Lincoln and partner Johnny Almond of Troy, Patrick Lincoln and wife Shellie of Troy; great grandsons, Carson and Weston Lincoln both of Troy; former daughter-in-law, Gwinne Brown of Troy; and stepson, AJ Lincoln of Winston Salem.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy, NC. A graveside service will be Wednesday at 3:00 PM at Southside Cemetery, South Main Street, Troy, with the Rev. Dr. Paul Chandley officiating.
