Elsie Slate Hodges

Elsie Slate Hodges, age 86, of 6348 Lowe Dr., Randleman died Thursday, April 24, 2008 at High Point Regional Hospital, High Point Mrs. Hodges was born February 9, 1922 the daughter of Hobert and Pearlie (Branch) Slate. Mrs. Hodges was a native of Patrick County, VA and retired from Fox Apparel (later Mr. Jeans) of Randleman. She was a member of Worthville Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband Manuel Joseph Hodges. She is survived by: son & daughter-in-law, Joe and Brenda Hodges of Randleman; two sisters: Margie Goins and Shirley Parrish of Stokesdale, NC; grandson, Mark Hodges of Sophia, NC; granddaughter, Lucinda Hodges of Chesterfield, SC; 4 great grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 26, 2008, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral will be Sunday, April 27, 2008, at 3:00 PM at Worthville Baptist Church, 1053 Castle Rock Road, Randleman with Rev. Junior Dawkins and Rev. C. J. York officiating.
