Eloise Whitesell Lawrence

Mary Eloise Whitesell Lawrence, age 94, of Asheboro passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Randolph Health.

Mrs. Lawrence was born in Guilford County, NC on February 6, 1925 to Clayton Harrison and Ella Ingle Whitesell. She was a 1942 graduate of Randleman High School and was retired from Asheboro City Schools. Eloise was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. Eloise was preceded in death by her parents and was the last of nine siblings.

She is survived by her husband of 75 years, Wade Lawrence; daughters, Joyce McDowell and husband Nolan of Greensboro and Vickie Lawrence of Asheboro; son, Don Lawrence and wife Zelda of Mt. Holly; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 20, 2019 from 10:00-11:00 am at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 11:00 am at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Frank Ramos officiating. Burial will be held in Randolph Memorial Park.
