Elma Lee Wetherington Trogdon, age 88, of Asheboro died Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro.
Mrs. Trogdon was a native of Vanceboro, NC and was an active member of Oakwood Park Baptist Church. She was a Pink Lady with Randolph Hospital where she was head of the Women's Auxiliary. She was also a volunteer with Randolph County Senior Adults and Christians United Outreach Center. Mrs. Trogdon was a homemaker, seamstress and had worked in the cafeteria at Guy B. Teachey Elementary School.
She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Edwards and her husband Gilbert "Buddy" of Asheboro, Patsy McGrath of Asheboro, Sandra Curry and her husband Jeff of Georgetown, IN, Teresa McNeill and her husband Charles of Asheboro; sons, Carlton Trogdon and his wife Wanda of Swansboro, Russell Trogdon and his wife Robin of Asheboro; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Esther Babour and her husband Doug of Swansboro; brother, Earl Wetherington of Scottsboro, AL.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 23, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 24, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Tim Pheagin officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
