Elma King Reynolds, age 86, of Troy, departed from this life at her home surrounded by her loving family on December 9, 2009.She was born April 24, 1923 to the late Virgil King and Margaret Lucas King. She retired from Burlington Industries and Kyser-Roth after 29 years of service. She loved gardening and cooking, but most of all she was known for serving and caring for others. She was devoted to her family and loved and served the Lord. She especially loved Suggs Creek and Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Churches and their people. She will be greatly missed by many.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, Bill Reynolds; Sons: Larry Reynolds and wife, Betty of Asheboro, Billy Reynolds and wife, Donna of Troy; Daughters: Linda York and husband, Elvin of Ramseur, Sandra Collins and husband, David of Denton, Betty Harvel and husband, Terry of Troy; Grandchildren: Kristen Reynolds Park and husband, Kevin, Kathryn Reynolds, Kyle Reynolds, Rachel Reynolds, Jeff York and wife, Julie, Jennifer York Trogdon and husband, Darren, Janice Collins Lee and husband, Joseph, Pam Collins Loflin and husband, Lyle, Tanna Harvel Alderman and husband Danny, Joshua Harvel; Great-Grandchildren: Elijah York, Josiah York, Jeremiah York, Hannah Trogdon, Samuel Trogdon, Grace Trogdon, Katelyn Loflin, Hunter Loflin, Lauren Alderman and Seth Alderman.The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Troy; other times at the home, 125 Walnut Dr., Star. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Suggs Creek Primitive Baptist Church, Ether Rd., Star with Elder Johnny Ray Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Suggs Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
