Ellion Wilson Knight

Ellion Wilson Knight, age 86, of Randleman died Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro.

Mr. Knight was born May 26, 1931 the son of Marvin and Margaret Perry Knight. Ellion was a native of Harnett County and served in the US Navy during the Korean War. Ellion was an active member of Level Cross Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He was formerly a supervisor at AMP. He was a loving husband, dad and peepaw.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years: Lillian Sloan Knight of the home; sons: Jay Knight and wife Joni of Randleman and Barry Knight of Randleman; brother: Arlma Grey Knight of St Petersburg, FL.; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 1 niece and 2 nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 1, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Level Cross Baptist Church, 10171 US 220 North Business, Randleman, NC 27317. The funeral will be held Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 11:00 am at Level Cross Baptist Church, with Rev. Jerry Mills officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Randolph Honor Guard performing military rites.
