Ellen Stevens

Ellen Lawson Stevens, age 88, of Sophia died Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro.

Mrs. Stevens was born March 15, 1930 the daughter of Jim and Eva Thomas Lawson.

Ellen was a native of Surry County and retired from Nixon-Reynolds Hosiery Mill. In addition to her parents, Ellen is preceded in death by her sons, Larry and Wayne Stevens, brother Grover Lawson.

She is survived by her daughter: Eva Ann Swan of Sophia; 8 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 10:00-10:45 am at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am in the Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Dagenhart officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
