Ellen Worsham Lee

Ellen Worsham Lee, age 74, of Asheboro died Monday, January 5, 2015 at the Randolph Hospice House. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Lee was born in Caswell County on March 20, 1940 to Oscar and Reccie Payne Worsham. She was retired from Allendale after 20 years of service. In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by her twin children Timothy James and Edna Earle Lee and her siblings David Worsham, Yvonne Carter, and Elva Stansbury. Ellen was a selfless and giving lady whose family was of utmost importance to her. She enjoyed reading and trips to the beach. She is survived by her husband, James Lee; children, Angie Thompson of Troy, Scott Lee and wife Robin of Asheboro, Tonya Gibson and husband Jerry of Biscoe, Sammy Lee and wife Theresa of Candor; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Dot Dodson of Danville, VA, Virgie Davis and husband Lewis of Yanceyville; brothers, George Worsham of Yanceyville, and Aaron Worsham and wife Brenda of Yanceyville. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204-0009. Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the Lee family.
