Ellen Gwyn

Mrs. Ellen "Betty" Gwyn, age 82, of 7311 Sycamore Dr., Randleman and formerly of 6744 Coltrane Mill Rd., Greensboro, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2010. Mrs. Gwyn was born on April 11, 1928 to Thomas Allen Collins and Sally Marie Rutherford Collins. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Gwyn and her son, Philip Gwyn. Mrs. Gwyn is survived by 4 children: Sandra Lee of Greensboro, Vivian Barnes and her husband Willie of Sophia, Tommy Gwyn and his wife Lania of Conway, SC, and James Gwyn of Greensboro. Mrs. Gwyn will also be leaving behind 10 loving grandchildren and 6 beautiful great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the home of Willie and Vivian Barnes, 2534 Woodfield Dr., Sophia on Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Please send all contributions to the American Diabetes Association, 222 South Church St., Suite 336M, Charlotte, NC 28202 in memory of Mrs. Ellen "Betty" Gwyn.
