Ella Mae Little Hammond

Ella Mae Little Hammond was born July 28, 1964 to William (Ping) Little and Annie Chadwick Little in Montgomery County, North Carolina. She attended the public schools of Montgomery County, North Carolina and graduated from West Montgomery High School, class of 1983. She gave her life to the Lord at an early age and was a member of Mt. Zion AME Zion Church until her health began to fail. She exchanged this earthly life for eternal rest on Monday, January 11, 2016 at her home. The joy she brought to us will remain in our hearts forever. She leaves to cherish loving and fond memories: her two sons, Jamaine, Lacester of the home and one daughter Cherrelle Hammond of Albemarle; five grandchildren: Kaliah, Malik, Amere, Maykayla and Nahla; two sisters: Lillian Gaddy of Mt. Gilead, Margaret Little of Candor; one brother: James "Todd" Little; fiancee: Hosea Monroe of Mt. Gilead and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Reece Hammond, parents: William and Annie Chadwick Little and two brothers: William (Nook) Little and Fredrick Little. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 16, 2016 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at West Montgomery High School Auditorium, Warrior Drive, Mt. Gilead, North Carolina. A Home Going Service will follow at 2:00 pm with the Reverend Curtis Oden, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Freeman Hill Cemetery, Warner Road, Troy, North Carolina.
