Elizabeth Yates Poole, age 91, formerly of Asheboro died Sunday, August 2, 2009 at Mountain Vista Health Park in Denton.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park.Mrs. Poole was a native of Richmond County, NC and was a member of First E&R United Church of Christ. She was retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse with Randolph Hospital and was formerly a Private Duty Nurse. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husbands, Hassell Hawkins and Clinard Poole, her parents, James H. Yates and Amanda T. Yates, her brothers, Marion McDonald Yates and James Clarence Yates, and her sisters, Ruth Yates Gibson and Bertha Yates Plummer.She is survived by her brother, Hervey F. Yates and his wife Marcella of Denton, NC; nephews, Fred Plummer of Thomasville, NC, Stephen Plummer of Salisbury, NC; niece, Mary Ruth Whitworth of Scotland County, NC.The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 following the funeral service at Pugh Funeral Home.
