Elizabeth Rumsey Mish, 90 of High Point, NC, died Wednesday, May 21, 2014. She was living in Asheboro at the time of her death.
She was born October 22, 1923, and grew up in High Point, NC. Later, as a military wife, "Libby" lived in Germany and Okinawa, and on several Army bases in the U.S.
She came back to High Point in 1965 and worked in the offices of Golding Bros., Rapier Mills and Old Dominion until her retirement.
Elizabeth was a beloved wife, mother and "Am-Mama."
She was preceded in death by her son, Johnny Edward Mish. She is survived by her sister, Arlien Rumsey of Archdale, NC.; daughter June E. Cranford and husband, Leonard of Star, NC; grandson, Eric T. Cranford and wife Sherita of Asheboro, NC; and granddaughter Kelley E. Schneider and husband David of Travelers Rest, SC. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Gavin Schneider.
A private service will be held by the family at a later date.
