Elizabeth "Lizzie" Nicole Pierce

Elizabeth "Lizzie" Nicole Pierce, age 22, of Trinity passed away on Friday, May 27, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Elizabeth was born in Guilford County. Lizzie was a very strong-willed, determined young lady who loved animals. Before being disabled in a car accident, she was active in sports, and had hopeful plans of being employed in the medical field. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wilmer and Dorothy Hall and Oscar and Lettefa Pierce. She is survived by her parents, Ottis and Carol Pierce; grandmother, Mary Black of Randleman; siblings, Nick Toomes, Casey Prine and family, Cassidy Black and family, Heidi Smith and family, and Chris Justice; special aunt and uncle, Joyce and Paul Toomes of Level Cross; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Mountain View Independent Methodist Church, 1530 Mountain View Church Road, Asheboro with Rev. Brian Hauk and Rev. David Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
